FREE VTCT LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN NAIL TECHNOLOGY
This course will enable the learners to gain the skills, understanding and knowledge needed for one to perform pedicure and manicure treatment. Also a part of this qualification is a range of nail technology techniques that include acrylic and gel application including the use of nail enhancing products. Learners will have the ability to gain the knowledge, skills and understanding needed in order to perform nail treatments that are professional to the clients through employment in nail service industry.
Entry requirements.
One will need:
English Language that is of good standard for allowing study and competence of the online examinations.
Those applying must be 19 and over at start if this course.
A satisfactory is a reference.
Course content.
The following will be covered:
- Health and safety practice will be followed.
- Provision of manicure treatment.
- Gel nails system application.
- Advice on maintenance and after care.
- How to remove false nails.
- How to care for client and communicate with her.
- Provision of pedicure treatments.
There will need for students to provide model for practical assessments. Portfolio of evidence will also be requires to be built by students.
Duration and delivery.
This is a course that is covered in 10 weeks, and delivered part-time to fit one’s life.
Assessment methods.
Theory assessments are ICT based, and this means that they are conducted online. There is also practical based assessments.
Further study and career options.
After studying this course, one can:
- Become a nail technician employee.
- Advance in nail technology program of study, a level 2 diploma.
Additional information.
The following will be needed; x2 folders, clip boards, nail technologies kit, and lastly, one must purchase a uniform.
It is good to note that one don’t have to pay for the course is she is between 19 to 23 years and if this is her level 2 qualification, or if one is above 23 years old and has no job, and receiving either JSA or universal credit. If one is not receiving any of these, payment for this course can be done by us if she agrees to sign up for level 3 course with us after completing level 2.
