About.
Applied computing can be explained as how the technology is being used for enhancing the speed and efficiency of information transfer. Students will cover different computing areas including programming, web design, computer networking and information systems. New skills including the latest computing elements such as HTML5 will be available for students.
The demand for employees with contemporary computer is increasing, and this rise is caused by the enormous internet growth, increase in programmable devices and the rate at which the technology is changing. Internet is one of the technology revolutions, and it is already having impacts on the society. The organizations’ dependency on computers and internet has taken competition to another level, and this means that there is a need of incorporating new ideas and technologies that are related to computer systems.
This program provides the student with thorough grounding in the practical skills and key concepts required in the related sectors, and this allows for direct progression into employment or into higher education.
Through this diploma, students will gain different skills in technological and managerial context. In the past, this reward was only covering computer programming. However, computing is now including networking, software associated with data storage, retrieving and management of information. This means that a student can choose to focus on one module that he/she likes most.

Entry requirements:
- Applicants should be 18 and over years old.
- Those applying have to submit a proof of prior certified learning documents such as secondary school diploma or level 3 qualification.
- Applicants must undergo a compulsory interview with the college during registration.
- Those applying must come with their original certificates on registration day.
- Those applying but they do not have English as their first language will have to demonstrate an approved proficiency level in English language use.
