Applied computing can be explained as how the technology is being used for enhancing the speed and efficiency of information transfer. Students will cover different computing areas including programming, web design, computer networking and information systems. New skills including the latest computing elements such as HTML5 will be available for students.
The demand for employees with contemporary computer is increasing, and this rise is caused by the enormous internet growth, increase in programmable devices and the rate at which the technology is changing. Internet is one of the technology revolutions, and it is already having impacts on the society. The organizations’ dependency on computers and internet has taken competition to another level, and this means that there is a need of incorporating new ideas and technologies that are related to computer systems.
