    Professional Beverage and Food Service Courses

    Get the skill to enable you to provide the best dining experience. You will be provided the basic knowledge and skills in sections such as food safety, food service, booking, handling payments, menu design and serving beverages.

    Diploma in Level three Beverage and Food Service Supervision

    The qualifications are appropriate for everybody that wants to be employed in a restaurant front house of the service venue of a beverage and food. No qualifications or experience needed.

    INVOLVEMENTS OF STUDYING THE COURSE

    For the qualification of beverage and food services, one is likely to train with the training provider and a group environment. In other cases, the learner will complete the job qualification as part of the course and not just being trained. The learner will demonstrate the skills acquired through learning by taking both knowledge assessment and practical assessment.

    Level One

    This is for those that have an interest in working in a restaurant’s front house. The ones who want to develop knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality services.

    Level Two

    This appropriate for those with level one qualification and want to continue or currently employed and want to further their education and knowledge.

    Level Three

    This is for those that want to specialize in specific areas of delivering and food services and want to achieve a certificate or a diploma. For those that are employed, they can take it is a part-time course and full-time course for those that are not working.

    THE CAREERS THAT THIS LEADS TO

    Achieving a beverage and food service qualification will assist in working in the following roles:

    • Chef
    • Waiter/waitress
    • Restaurant/catering manager
    • Wine/ sommelier waiter

    The qualifications also can assist learners that have an interest in running their businesses in the area of catering and hospitality.

    For those that wish to progress into the role of management, they may want to pursue additional qualifications:

    • NVQ Level Three Diploma in hospitality leadership and supervision
    • A management and leadership qualification through a sister institution (the Institute of management and leadership)

    INVOLVEMENTS OF COURSE DELIVERY

    The delivery of the beverage and food qualifications requires that you give the learners appropriate learning resources and environment needed to do all the qualification aspects.

    As much as you can deliver the course using a group setting, some learners will require it designed in such a way that it can be completed as a job in a workplace.

    Learners will be assessed through knowledge and practical assessments.

    No requirements for this qualification but there must be access to the resources needed by each learner.

    Level One
