The diplomas and certificates offered here cover several skills from styling, dressing, and cutting to shampooing.
Diploma Level Three in barbering
Diploma Level Three in women’s hairdressing
Diploma Level Three in coloring techniques in hairdressing
Diploma Level Three in hairdressing styling and cutting techniques
The qualifications are for the learners that have an interest in hairdressing careers.
The level two qualification is the option for the new learners between 14 and 16 and the level three and four are for those that are experienced in barbering and hairdressing.
No work placement needed to qualify and there are even courses for those with no or little experience.
INVOLVEMENTS IN COURSE STUDY
A learner that takes a hairdressing certificate or diploma I will need the required skill to be successful in the field for instance coloring, barbering, and hairdressing.
For those pursuing awards, they will cover the required skills for specific techniques including styling, cutting hair, perming hair, dressing hair or relaxing hair.
Learning will take place with a training provider who will guide through discussions, practical sessions, and assignments. Assessment will take place in a real work environment where skills will be demonstrated and practiced.
Practical tasks, assignments and online tests are used for assessment.
Level Two
This is appropriate for the learners that have got a little experience in the industry of barbering and hairdressing. It includes the ones who want to be hairdressing assistants.
Level Three
Level three is appropriate for learners that have qualifications and want to specialize in certain areas.
Level four
This is for those that are experienced in barbering and hairdressing and want to gain skills in the correction of color.

INVOLVEMENTS OF COURSE DELIVERY
To offer the qualification, qualified staff is needed to do the assessment and the training.
Appropriate facilities are also needed for training so that the learners are in a position to meet the industry standards

Level Two

Level Three
At least one pathway has been given approval by the DfE to be in the performance tables of 2016. The approved qualifications can be viewed on the website. Level three is appropriate for learners that have qualifications and want to specialize in certain areas.
