Engineering course (Graduate & Post Graduate Diploma)
The credentials give a flexible and substitute method for the satisfaction and contribution of what is required in the academic field of continued professional development (CPD) or certified institutions. The qualifications are epitome for already employed learners or those seeking to change their career and could not have the chance (or chose not to) acquire a qualified degree.
The credentials may also be appropriate for students who are planning to undertake the Engineering Council Graduate Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma exams, or those who undertook some units but did not cover all the required units necessary for accreditation before the close of examinations prior to registration.
The last chance for re-sit for the Engineering Council exams took place in May 2012. Those candidates who have undertaken some of the units of the Engineering Council exams are free to consult the ‘exemptions’ document provided in the additional information section to identify the exemptions that can be available for them as provided by our partners.
Postgraduate Diploma and Graduate Diploma matching higher level credentials does not have the involvement of the Engineering Council and cannot be accredited by the Engineering Council. However, our partner has co-ordinated with numerous discipline-specific engineering foundations which will ensure that the credentials are aligned with the necessities for registration for Incorporated Engineer for the case of Graduate Diploma and a Chartered Engineer in the case of a Postgraduate Diploma. The consideration of the alignment of the requirements is done through procedures of academic assessment of the engineering foundations.
Students will always attends formal training programmes of study course at any study center approved by our partners in readiness for the written and practical assessments. Students may take as many subjects as they wish in every academic year.
The credentials have three major categorizations which include
The development of Graduate and Postgraduate Diplomas has been done for the learners undergoing training or those that are employed in above named categorizations. The credentials focus on reflecting the global nature of skills as well as knowledge and activities required for different nations and cultures.

Level 6
This Graduate Diploma is set standard for the final (third) year for the British BEng (Honors) degree profession. The standard hours for the level 6 Graduate Diploma is 1800 Notional Hours (it involves Guided Learning hours and self-study hours).
The necessary subject combinations and assessments for the various Graduate Diplomas are as set out onwards. For more information of the project, practical and laboratory work, please consult the separate assessment guidance document provided. Students must also be registered for the Graduate Diploma at the commencement of the course for their project work to be accepted.
Students can repeat papers in a number of times as they wish but some professional bodies may count the repeated attempts against their application for the professional registration. It does not however, count after the successful completion of the requirements for Graduate Diploma.
Note should be taken that some professional foundations may enact limits on the time taken for the full completion of the Graduate Diploma.
Level 7
This is the set standard for the final (fourth) year of the British MEng degree profession in Engineering. The advised learning hours for this level is 1500 Notional Hours (includes Guided Learning and Self-study hours).
The requirements for the subject combinations for the various Post Graduate Diplomas are as set below. For more information regarding practical and laboratory work, please refer the document for guidance assessment given.
Registration of the students must be at the beginning of the course in order for their project work to be accepted. Repetition of papers is allowed as many times as they wish but some professional bodies count the number of attempts against professional registration applications. It does not however count upon the successful completion of the requirements of Postgraduate Diploma.
Note should be taken that some professional foundations may enact limits on the time taken for the full completion of the Graduate Diploma.
