This qualification is for the individuals working in road passenger transport as either a bus or a coach driver, and for those who are almost done with Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving (Bus and Coach) Apprenticeship.
INVOLVEMENT IN STUDYING THIS COURSE.
One can choose the qualification in which specialist knowledge and skills an individual develops are demonstrated, and they include:
- Operating bus and coach safely.
- Rights and responsibilities of employment.
- Customer care.
One can either learn in the classroom or in a workplace.
Multiple-choice tests will be the method of conducting assessments, and evidence portfolio will be required in one of the apprenticeship units.
Level 2.
One is either working or he is looking forward to work or undertake an apprenticeship in transporting passengers on a road, and as either a bus or a coach driver. He possesses skills and relevant knowledge from a role where he has been supervised.

By having this qualification, one can easily get a bus driving job or progress in his role of being a coach or a bus driver.

To make sure that these qualification are delivered, one will need suitably qualified staff that will help in training and assessment.

This award can be offered by the centres that are currently offering the level 2 NVQ in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving, as they have an automatic approval.
One should note that that there is no formal eligibility qualification requirement. However, one will be required to have a driver’s license if this qualification is taken as part of the apprenticeship, although it may be expected that the license would be may be obtained during the apprenticeship.
Level 2
