Learners will cover the significance of hydration, nutrition and food safety and is designed for the individuals that have a role in:
- Assessing the nutritional needs of people
- Delivering and preparing for people that use the services
- Helping people that use the services to prepare their own food and consume it
- Contracting services
- Regulation and inspection
Level Two
These is for individuals that are working in childcare, early years and social and health care settings and have got knowledge of delivering and preparing food for people and promoting hydration and nutrition.

THE INVOLVEMENTS OF STUDYING THE COURSE
The trainers need assessors that are qualified to assess the course. They can be trained staff members or those recruited specifically.
There will be need for suitable resources and facilities for training and attainment of industry requirements by learners.

Level Two
These is for individuals that are working in childcare, early years and social and health care settings and have got knowledge of delivering and preparing food for people and promoting hydration and nutrition. This is normally from a previous role that they have been supervised.
The qualifications to select from are:
- Food safety award in childcare, early years and social and health care settings
- Promoting nutrition and food safety award in in childcare, early years and social and health care settings
For the Food safety award in childcare, early years and social and health care settings, the learner will have credits in the two units below:
- Food safety principles when giving food and drinks to people
- Meet requirements of food safety when giving drinks and food to people
Promoting nutrition and food safety award in in childcare, early years and social and health care settings has two core and four optional units, the core units include:
- Meet requirements of food safety when giving drinks and food to people
- Support people to drink and eat
