Level 2 Award in Nail Technology

This award of level two is focusing on principles and practices development that are required in the nail industry. The learners will learn the application, maintenance and removal of gel nail structures. This course can lead to employment, as it is industry standard.
Entry requirements.
One will need:
- English language that is of good standard for allowing for study and competence of the online examination.
- One should have to an interest in physiology and anatomy.
- Communication and people skills that are good, as this will enhance working with clients.
Course content.
The following will be covered:
- Client preparation including methods of consultation.
- Nail technologies’ health and safety requirements.
- The application of gel nails system, maintaining and after care advice and false nails removal.
- Physiology and anatomy of the skin and nail.
Duration and delivery.
Learners will only take two weeks to complete this course, and it will be of part-time bases.
Assessment methods.
Exams will be via online assessment and practical based tests.
Further study and career options.
After studying this course one can:
- Become a nail technician employee.
- Advance to level 2 certificate in nail technology study program.
Additional information.
One will be required to have an x2 folders, a clip board, nail technologies kit and he/she will have to purchase a uniform.
