    VTCT LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN WOMEN’S HAIRDRESSING COURSES

    It is a technical qualification aimed at helping learners who are willing to be employed as hairdressers/stylists or those willing to be self-employed professionals. This qualification aims at meeting Hairdressing National Occupational standards. Additionally, it is recognized the Hairdressing Council, the leading hairdressing professional association in the UK, as it is preparing the learners to be fit in senior hairdressing career. By pursuing this qualification, learners must have level 2 qualification in hairdressing.

    Entry requirements.

    One will need:

    • English language that is of good standard for allowing study and competence of the online exams.
    • For one to apply for this qualification, he/she should be 19 years of
    • A satisfactory reference.
    • Should be a holder of level 2 certificate in hairdressing.

    Course content.

    The following will be covered;

    All the elements required to work effectively as an advanced hairdresser will be included in this qualification. These elements include consulting the client, safety and health advanced cutting, styling and coloring techniques, and lastly, sale of products and services to clients. All these units are mandatory.

    The will be a need for student to build a portfolio of evidence. There will be a need to provide a model for assessments by students.

    Duration and delivery.

    It’s a part-time course, and this means the students will attending the classes 2.5 days per week for 17 weeks.

    Assessment methods.

    Online assessment will be used for theory exams and there will be a practical based assessment.

    Further study and career options.

    After completing this qualification, learners have chances of becoming State Registered Hairdressers with The Hairdressing Council.

    The existing career opportunities available for students holding this qualification includes:

    One will need to have an x2 folders, clip board and he/will have to purchase a uniform.
