The Level Five Leadership for Social and Health Care and Young People and Children’s Services Diploma (England)
From September 1st the year 2014, the 90 credit course has been the required qualification for the learners that wish to register in Care Management and Leadership Apprenticeship in England. It can be also studied as a standalone diploma.
The diploma at level five was availed for the learners that did not want to take the apprenticeship but it closed on March the year 2015. The diploma is only now available for learners that wish to register in Care Management and Leadership Apprenticeship in England and also study it as a standalone diploma.
The Level Five Leadership For Social and Health Care and Young People and Children’s Services Diploma is a qualification that is developed to enable a learner have the opportunity to develop care and managerial skills.
It meets the regulatory standards for those that want to become managers at adult residential, domiciliary services and children’s homes.
This is for the individuals that are working in health and social care already; you can be a deputy or assistant manager and want to achieve this vocational qualification.

THE INVOLVEMENTS OF THE COURSE DELIVERY
The Diploma in Social and Health Care Leadership and Young People and Children’s Services can be delivered at the workplace or a learning center. Assessment is also conducted in the place of work and will include evidence portfolio in most units. The knowledge units can either be assessed in the workplace or out of the workplace.
Level Five
Level five is for those who are responsible managing a facility which offers services for children that are vulnerable and adults. It can also be for the assistant managers or deputy managers that have not acquired the vocational qualification.
