This qualification enables learners to learn, practice and develop the required skills for employment and progress in the sector of ICT as web professionals, developers of IT products, Technical IT sales specialist, multimedia designers, telecommunications technicians, system analysts, software developers and IT trainers.

The qualification is appropriate for the learners that wish to work in the Telecom and IT sector as apprentices.

This qualification was created in association with e knowledge and skills which is the council of the sector skills for information technology and business and other organizations of warding as well as the industry and providers.

INVOLVEMENTS OF STUDYING THE COURSE

Our partner does not have any entry qualification requirements. However, the centers have to make sure that the learners have the opportunity and potential to obtain this qualification successfully.

The learners will be tested by various methods as per the units undertaken whether they knowledge based or practical and they have to complete work activities for them to give evidence of demonstration to show they are competent occupationally.

Simulation can be allowed when:

• The learners are needed to finish work activities that never happen regularly and there have the opportunity to do a specific work activity that do not arise easily
• The learners are need to give a response to situations which happen rarely such as giving a response to emergency situations
• The safety of learners and resources and other individuals can also be at risk

When the method of simulation is applied, assessors have to be confident that that simulation can replicate the place of work to the degree that the learner will be in a position to transfer fully their competence occupationally to the place of work and other real situations. Real work assessment or simulation has to have recognized standards.

INVOLVEMENTS OF THE COURSE DELIVERY

The staff that qualifies to deliver the course should demonstrate that they have the following requirements:

Be knowledgeable occupationally in the field that they are providing training. The knowledge must be at least at a similar level of the provided training.

Have experience in training provision

Should have experience relevant in the area that assessment will be done

Have experience needed to provide post sixteen education market

Centers should use areas designed specifically for the delivery for instance installed specialized system, setting operating systems and networks. The system and equipment should attain the standards of the industry and be able to be used under normal conditions of working.
