Tourism and Travel Courses A
The travel and tourism qualification covers several aspects which can assist a learner to be a successful in the industry with things like tour guiding, air fares and ticketing.
The travel and tourism qualification is for anyone that has an interest in working in the travel industry or already works in the travel industry but wants to further his or her knowledge.
The learners that achiever level two or level three certificates in the travel services already have passed the qualification which is recognized the standards of the industry which was called ABTOC OR ABTAC previously.
THE INVOLVEMENTS OF STUDYING THE COURSE
When completing the course the learner will cover the following:
- Tour operating
- Tour guiding
- Holiday representative
- Travel representative
- Ticketing and air fares
- Tourism and travel worldwide destinations
Learning will be either in group discussions, assignments or practical sessions through a training provider.
Every unit will be assessed by multiple choice online tests and also assignments that will be externally set.
Level One
This is for those that are just beginning to enter the tourism and travel industry. Those that have got a basic understanding of the tourism and travel industry enough to be successful as a travel agent in a tourist center of information or to continue with further studies.
Level Two
This is for those that have experience and knowledge in the area of travel and tourism.
Level Three
This is for those that have been in the travel and tourism industry working for some time and have got plenty knowledge and experience. They might be managing resources or supervising others already but want to have more specialist skills in a specific area.

The tourism and travel qualification can enable one to find a job as a:
- Tour guide
- Travel agent
- Holiday representative
- assistant in a tourist center of information
INVOLVEMENTS OF COURSE DELIVERY
For one to qualify to deliver the course, he or she needs qualified staff for assessment and training.
There will be need for suitable resources and facilities for training and attainment of industry requirements by learners.
This is open for anybody but there must be enough resources for all learners that are required to complete the course.

Level Two
This is for those that have experience and knowledge in the area of travel and tourism. One is allowed to choose between the level two diplomas, certificates and several awards.
The following are the available awards:
- Level Two Greet and Meet Services Award
- Level Two Tourism and Travel Worldwide Award
- Level Two Ticketing and Air Fares Award
- Level Two Tourism Destinations and UK Travel Award
- Level Two Tourism and Travel Support Services Award
- Level Two Resort Representatives Award
The following are the available certificates:
- Level Two Working in Tourism and Travel Skills Certificate
- Level Two Tourism and Travel Services Certificate (A technical certificate for the travel services apprenticeship)
- Level Two Retail Travel Certificate
- Level Two Tourism in UK Certificate
- Level Two Tourism and Travel Destinations Certificate
- Level Two Resort Representatives Certificate
