Level One

To attain the full qualification for certificate of IVQ for users of IT, a learner has to do three units where one is compulsory and two other are optional.

Either word processing or IT principles techniques
Optional Units
Simple spreadsheet production
Simple word documents production
Simple databases production
Creation of simple presentations
Learners can also select from various single UCT subjects
Practical processing of data
Desktop publishing
Computerized accounts
Using the internet and email

This qualification gives various opportunities for progressing in any role in the IT industry. The qualification can provide the learner with skills that can help him or her work in any position that needs working with computers.
The qualification also provides a chance to work with computers in any field. Learners that are finishing level two at diploma level can even continue to level three diplomas which are advanced in a similar field.
