Pharmaceutical Science Courses
This is for those that wish to work in the settings of a pharmacy, hospital or chemist and this course can help them move forward.
For one to register as a technician in pharmacy, as it is needed by the Pharmaceutical Council, one has to have the Diploma in Level Three Pharmaceutical science and the Level three Diploma in Service Skills in Pharmacy.
One can do them as separate entities or as a pharmacy apprenticeship.
Diploma in Level Three in UCS+AS tariff of Pharmaceutical Science
The qualification is for everybody that has an interest in starting a career as an assistant in a pharmacy or a technician assistant. There is no previous experience needed for level two.
THE INVOLVEMENTS OF STUDYING THE COURSE
At this level, one gains skills and knowledge to work in managing stock, process prescription and in a pharmacy team.
The things that are covered include:
Assisting consumers in the pharmacy
Regulations and laws of safety and health
Team working
Selling medicines over the counter
Assembling prescriptions
At the third level the learner will understand the medicine science of how customers should be advised on use of medicine.
The things covered are:
Microbiology
Pharmaceutics
Physiology
Dispensing medicine
Pharmacy ethics practice and laws
Level Two
This is for those that want to be employed as assistants in the pharmacy and develop skills and knowledge that relates to the basic pharmacy duties. It may be an apprenticeship.
Level Three
This is for those that have already done level two. It can be for the individuals that are ready to enhance their medicine knowledge and register as the pharmacy technicians. It may be an apprenticeship.

Level two
Qualification of level two is a component of the scheme training that is approved and allows the learner to be employed as a pharmacy assistant.
Level three
Qualification of level three is a component of the scheme training that is approved and allows the learner to be employed as a pharmacy technician that dispenses medicines in the settings of a pharmacy.
To be a technician one needs to the level three pharmacy service skills qualification and also be registered with the council of pharmaceuticals.
THE INVOLVEMENTS OF THE COURSE DELIVERY
For one to qualify to deliver the course, he or she needs qualified staff for assessment and training.
There will be need for suitable resources and facilities for training and attainment of industry requirements by learners.
This is open for anybody but there must be enough resources for all learners that are required to complete the course.
Automatic approval can be received for those offering the certificate in level three in pharmacy services.
Level Two
This is for those that want to be employed as assistants in the pharmacy and develop skills and knowledge that relates to the basic pharmacy duties. It may be an apprenticeship.
The three mandatory units at this level are:
Working as team in the pharmacy
Communicating with customers at the pharmacy
Regulations, laws, safety and health at the pharmacy
Three optional units are chosen from several choices including:
Safely assembling prescriptions\issuing and ordering pharmacy stock
Manufacture and preparation for aseptic products
The method of assessment has been changed to multiple choice online tests instead of assignments since 2013 November.
However, a learner can still have the assignments units which should be hidden under the background. Information on the manner of claiming for assignment units is contained in the Walled Garden.

PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE LEVEL TWO CERTIFICATE
Level Three
At least one pathway has gotten an approval by the DfE to be in the performance tables of 2016.
Level three for those that have already done level two. It can be for the individuals that are ready to enhance their medicine knowledge and register as the pharmacy technicians. It may be an apprenticeship.
19 core units are completed at level three that include the following:
Pharmacy microbiology
Pharmacy human physiology
Pharmacy practice, laws and ethics
Vaccines, immunology products and infection
