Level One
For those who are starting in the industry of hair and beauty and want to have a basic concept of this industry to move for further studies or succeed in a beauty and hair job
Level Three
For those that have a level two qualification and want to continue further and those thinking of pursuing level one and want to ensure they have the needed foundation.

Introduction to the beauty and hair sector offers the knowledge required to be a salon assistant.
After completing the qualifications, one can continue to NVQ and VRQ level one or level two beauty therapy or hairdressing.

To have qualifications in beauty and hair introduction sector, one has to have qualified in carrying out assessments and training.
There have to be appropriate facilities for learners to attain the standards of the industry.
There are no entry requirements or age limit for the qualification.

Salon Assistant
After completing the qualifications, one can continue to NVQ and VRQ level one or level two beauty therapy or hairdressing.
Level One
For those who are starting in the industry of hair and beauty and want to have a basic concept of this industry to move for further studies or succeed in a beauty and hair job.
The qualifications available at level one are:
- Level One Introduction to the Beauty and Hair Sector Award
- Level One Introduction to the Beauty and Hair Sector Certificate
- Level One Introduction to the Beauty and Hair Sector Diploma
Regardless of the qualification selected, there are the compulsory units to be completed:
- Introduction to the beauty and hair sector
- Presentation of an image that is professional in the saloon
Depending on the option taken, whether diploma, certificate or award, a learner chooses at least one of the following:

- Styling women hair
- Styling men hair
- Nail art
- Photographic makeup art
