The qualification is based on the IISP framework of skills and the standards of the national occupation.

For this qualification, learners have to do the compulsory units to develop professionalism, effectiveness, principles, health and safety of governance of information security and its assurance. They are also required to choose from various options that include security audits, defining and investigating the customer requirements, security investigation of incidents ad security testing and knowledge units like development of secure system, data and system security, networking principles and data modeling.
For the Information Security Diploma Level 4, the learners will improve their knowledge and skills and be in a position to choose units from fields like risk security assessment, development of software components and profile administration.
