About.
This course will provide the students with the skills and knowledge needed for one to be a successful manager in hospitality industry. The aim of this course is to provide interdisciplinary and well-rounded theoretical and practical knowledge of administering the hospitality sector. It provides the students with skills needed in the context of hospitality management including research and investigatory skills that focus on issues of management within the hospitality, tourism and leisure context.
This course is focusing on development of learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills in the hospitality sector. The benefits of these skills will include the successful performance in the managerial positons in all sectors that are related to tourism and hospitality.
The aim of this course is to develop high level skills including research skills and investigatory research that focus on management issues within the hospitality context. Students can use this course as a pathway for provision of their knowledge, skills, flexibility and motivation as basis for career development and future studies in hospitality management.
Students will gain marketing, finance, accounting, human resource and management skills that will convert them into successful managers.
This is a vocational course, and this means that, apart from being provided with theoretical aspects, students are also taught how to relate this to real world situations.
Progression.
After completing this degree, students will have an opportunity to progress and be a bachelor degree holders by studying for one additional year at various universities in the UK, and choose any course that has a relationship with hospitality including international tourism and hospitality.
Career opportunities.
This course will equip the students with hospitality and management skills and knowledge that can make them employed in their home countries. Having a bachelor degree in this course will increase the chances on one being hired. After completing this course, graduates will have an opportunity to work for different organizations, and working as hotel receptionists, hotel managers, restaurant manager, organizer of events and manager for events and outside activities.
